The world's largest Bitcoin (BTC) Treasure (DAT) company Strategy (MSTR) resumed its purchase of Bitcoin in about two and a half months.
Strategy announced on the 31st (local time) that it bought 4,603 Bitcoin for $369.7 million (about 370 billion won) in the week from August 24 to 30. The average purchase price was $8,318.
The purchase increased the company's cumulative bitcoin holdings to 845,050. So far, the company's total purchase amount has been $63.73 billion, and the average purchase price has been $75,413.
It is the first time that Strategy has bought Bitcoin since it bought 1587 units (worth about $100 million) in mid-June. Since then, the company has been focused on overhauling its financial structure for more than two months, selling 32 Bitcoin for the first time since the 2022 tax loss sale in early June, and selling 1,690 more Bitcoin to fund a repurchase of preferred shares in early August.
In the midst of this, Michael Saylor, chairman of the Strategy Board, posted on his social media account on the 30th, "We're Back."He posted a short message that signaled the resumption of the purchase.
