Altcoins Draw ETF Inflows as Bitcoin Funds Post $201.81 Million Outflow

Spot crypto ETFs in the U.S. posted a net outflow on Aug. 28 as spot Bitcoin ETFs alone shed $201.81 million, ending a nine-trading-day inflow streak.
By contrast, Ether, XRP, Solana, and Hyperliquid ETFs continued to attract net inflows, with Solana ETFs drawing $193.41 million and Hyperliquid ETFs taking in $64.5 million over the past 30 days.
Over the past 30 days, spot Bitcoin and spot Ether ETFs recorded combined net inflows of $5.06 billion, while altcoins including Solana and Hyperliquid rose as much as 44.9%.

Bitcoin products were the only segment of the U.S. spot cryptocurrency ETF market to post a large net outflow, while ETFs tied to Ether, XRP, Solana and Hyperliquid continued to draw money.

Data from SoSoValue for Aug. 28 showed U.S. spot crypto ETFs recorded a combined net outflow of $51.11 million that day. The move was driven entirely by spot Bitcoin ETFs, which shed $201.81 million. The outflow ended a nine-trading-day streak of net inflows that began on Aug. 17.

Spot Ether ETFs, by contrast, took in $102.18 million. That extended Ether ETFs' inflow streak to 10 straight trading days. XRP ETFs also attracted $26.2 million, while Solana and Hyperliquid ETFs posted net inflows of $18.08 million and $4.48 million, respectively.
