US spot Bitcoin ETFs just pulled in nearly $1 billion in a single trading day, marking the largest daily inflow these products have seen in roughly a year. The September 21 haul of $998.95 million landed as Bitcoin's price briefly punched above $87,000, its highest level since January, putting the average holder back in the green after months of sideways churn.
For context, this was the ninth-largest daily inflow since spot Bitcoin ETFs launched on January 11, 2024. The last time the number got this big was early October 2025.
BlackRock's IBIT dominated the day with $381 million in net inflows. ARK 21Shares' ARKB came in second at roughly $289 million. Fidelity's FBTC rounded out the top three with approximately $239 million. Together, those three funds accounted for more than 90% of the day's total.
Bitcoin's intraday push above $87,000 was the catalyst that flipped a meaningful chunk of holders back into profit. The price has since pulled back to the $85,000 to $86,000 range, but even that level represents a quarterly gain of about 44%.
It's worth noting that these inflows aren't happening in isolation. August 2026 saw $3.52 billion flow into Bitcoin ETFs across the entire month. September's month-to-date total has already reached $1.31 billion, and we're not even through the month yet.
