Bitcoin ETFs Snap 9-Day Inflow Streak With $202M Exit

U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $201.8 million in net outflows on Friday, snapping a nine-session inflow streak that had pulled in more than $3 billion.

ARK 21Shares leads withdrawals

The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) accounted for the largest share of Friday’s outflows at $114.9 million.

Bitwise’s BITB followed with $49.7 million in redemptions, while BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) saw $33.4 million leave the fund.

Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) was the only product to buck the trend, drawing $9.3 million in fresh capital.

Total net assets across the spot bitcoin ETF complex slipped to $97.6 billion, falling back below the $100 billion threshold crossed just a day earlier.

August still firmly positive

Despite Friday’s reversal, the month’s flows remain well in the green at roughly $3.3 billion with one U.S. trading session left in August.

The nine-day streak that preceded the outflow was the longest positive run since late June.

Bitcoin traded below $78,000 at the time of the outflows, under pressure after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller dismissed recent softer inflation prints earlier in the week.
