The crypto news cycle moves fast, but the entries it creates move faster. Israel's largest bank, Bank Leumi, announced a partnership with Galaxy Digital this week to offer Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana trading to 2.5 million customers through its existing banking app, the first time an Israeli bank has committed to direct crypto access. That kind of institutional adoption used to move entire markets.
Now it barely registers because the tokens being offered are already priced for the world that adoption built. While this week's crypto news keeps confirming the old guard is here to stay, the wallets that actually move portfolios are piling into a presale where the entry still has distance between today's price and tomorrow's exchange value.
Crypto News: Bank Leumi and the Institutional Adoption Wave
Bank Leumi's August 14 announcement confirmed that customers will buy, hold, and sell BTC, ETH, and SOL through the Leumi Trade app beginning in early 2027, with Galaxy Digital providing trading and custody infrastructure, according to The Block. The bank had tried to launch crypto trading through Paxos back in 2022, but that plan was shelved before going live, according to CoinDesk.
