Google Search is once again showing crypto price charts live after reports of missing Ethereum, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency prices went viral. This caused concerns amongst crypto experts as this visibility was important for both novice and experienced investors.
Although Google hasn't clarified why the crypto price charts were removed from the search results, the tech giant has reinstated them, allowing users to get easy access to real-time pricing information.
Google Search has been listing crypto price charts for 7 years now. The data is used by crypto traders across the world. During this period, crypto users who enquired about Bitcoin or Ethereum prices were directed to Google Finance for updates. However, the platform didn't display the latest pricing as it was last updated on October 7.
This confusion stirred a debate amongst crypto enthusiasts whether Google has changed policy or facing technical glitches.
