Hunter Biden expressed strong optimism about Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and pushed back against critics of the cryptocurrency sector on Monday.

During an interview with BMTV, Hunter Biden said he expects Bitcoin to hit $220,000 by 2028.

The son of former President Joe Biden voiced a positive outlook on cryptocurrency, adding that all his art is on the blockchain.

Hunter Biden revealed earlier that he accepts Bitcoin as payment for his artwork and provides blockchain-based certificates of authenticity for his paintings.

He added that blockchains, including Bitcoin, also facilitate cross-border transactions without a “mega monopolistic bank,” and that this narrative could influence their future adoption.

Biden Says Warren is So Wrong About Crypto

Biden also addressed criticism of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, particularly from Democrats such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

“I love Elizabeth Warren. I really do. But I think she is so wrong about this,” Hunter Biden said.

He acknowledged the issues within the cryptocurrency world, including “an enormous amount of grift,” but slammed those who make blanket statements that Bitcoin is "going to zero."
