Samson Mow, chief executive officer of JAN3, criticized Bitcoin Core developers over BIP-110, saying they were responsible for the latest controversy in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
U.Today reported on August 12 that Mow said the same situation would happen again unless Bitcoin Core developers acknowledged responsibility for directly triggering the BIP-110 movement.
He also argued that the dispute could have been avoided if developers had left OP_RETURN unchanged and waited one to two years for the situation to cool.
BIP-110 is a proposal for a temporary soft fork aimed at restricting the storage of arbitrary data on the Bitcoin blockchain. The proposal would limit the size of data fields, including OP_RETURN, for one year.
