The latest announcement is out from Smarter Web Company PLC ( (GB:SWC) ).

The Smarter Web Company PLC has announced that Jesse Myers will leave the business effective 1 September 2026, while its existing Bitcoin Treasury Policy will remain unchanged under the oversight of the board. Chief executive Andrew Webley said the company remains focused on executing its strategy and ambitions, signalling continuity in leadership priorities despite the departure.

The company reiterated that it holds a material portion of its treasury reserves and surplus cash in Bitcoin, highlighting both the perceived strategic benefits and the significant risks associated with cryptoasset volatility and limited regulation. Management emphasised that an investment in the company is not a direct or proxy investment in Bitcoin, but warned that its financial position is exposed to Bitcoin price movements, trading constraints and broader market and security risks, which prospective investors should carefully consider.
