Solana is raising its maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes today, September 9, through an upgrade called Transaction v1, according to Solana Foundation VP of technology Jacob Creech. The old limit dated back to Solana’s original networking protocol and stuck around even after the network changed how it transmits data in 2022.
