Against this backdrop, CoinDesk reported that Strategy purchased an additional 4,603 Bitcoin last week. The acquisition totaled approximately $369.7 million, at an average price of $80,318 per coin. The purchase brings Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings to 845,050 BTC. The average acquisition cost across the entire position stands at $75,412 per coin.
The funding structure for this purchase was also disclosed. Between August 24 and 30, Strategy sold 4,531,421 shares of common stock (MSTR), generating net proceeds of approximately $602.8 million after fees. Of this amount, $369.7 million was allocated to Bitcoin purchases, $151.8 million to repurchasing preferred stock (STRC), $50.7 million to STRC dividends, and $30 million was retained as cash.
