Bitcoin ETFs attracted $854 million during the first week of August 2026, marking five straight days of positive flows and nearly five times the entire month of July, according to CoinTelegraph.

BlackRock's IBIT led with $479 million over three sessions, lifting its total net capital past $61 billion since launch, and the buying came even as the Fear and Greed Index sat at 25, deep in fear territory, which means big money was loading while retail stayed frozen on the sidelines afraid to move. Ethereum ETFs added $245 million the same week, newer altcoin funds also pulled positive flows, and the pattern shows that institutional confidence is spreading well beyond Bitcoin into the broader market, according to Bloomberg.
