Trump Media and Crypto.com terminate prediction markets integration gamingintelligence.com

Trump Media’s Truth Social platform will instead serve as a marketing affiliate of Crypto.com’s event contracts

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) and Crypto.com have terminated their October 2025 agreement to integrate prediction markets on the Truth Social platform.

The integration would have allowed Truth Social users to trade events contracts on political elections, interest and inflation rates, commodity prices, and events across major sports.

Instead of integrating prediction markets with Truth Social, TMTG will now serve as a marketing affiliated of Crypto.com’s event contracts.

“Our strategic focus is to drive revenue across Truth Social, continue to build our global media business, and close the merger with TAE,” said Kevin McGurn, interim CEO of TMTG. “This marketing agreement better aligns with our priorities and will put Crypto.com ‘s prediction market experiences in front of a highly engaged digital audience.”

TMTG’s merger with nuclear fusion company TAE Technologies, which was first announced in December and was expected to complete by mid-2026, is now expected to complete in the fourth quarter of this year.

Following completion of the transaction, the board of directors of the combined company will evaluate potential strategic alternatives for the combined company’s legacy business units, including but not limited to Truth Social and other TMTG media assets.

On Monday, TMTG reported sales of $1.67 million (+89 per cent) for the second quarter of 2025, with an operating loss of $163.50 million and a net loss of $238.11 million.

The second-quarter net loss includes a $116.68 million loss on digital assets, investment losses of $71.76 million, and $25.6 million in legal expenses, primary related to legacy litigation.

Shares in Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (NASDAQ:DJT) closed 8.03 per cent lower at $9.39 per share in New York Monday.
