Bitcoin price surged above $64,200 as it recovered from a recent asset market weakness.
Ethereum was nearing the top of its consolidation zone at $1,919 while XRP was trying to settle above support.
The gathering could influence expectations surrounding regulation, market infrastructure, and federal oversight of digital assets across the United States.

There has been no official agenda however that indicates if there will be any discussions of infrastructure projects or immediate regulatory measures.
The meeting follows a pitched battle between Congress and financial regulators as the agency attempts to pass a bill that would clarify its roles and responsibilities.

Federal agencies have been more involved in crafting cryptocurrency policy via rules developed under existing legal authorities.
The event comes before the first CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee meeting in Washington on Thursday.
The committee will be considering issues involving regulation of cryptocurrencies, AI, prediction markets and recent activity of the CFTC in the new financial industries.
XRP Price Technical Levels Point Toward Recovery
XRP price gained 0.02% during the latest four-hour period, holding near the important $1 psychological threshold.
The token is still above the $0.99 support level, but past resistance failed to generate any significant upward action.
XRP price continued to drop in the market due to recent weakness with both $1.03 and $1.05 price levels being key obstacles on another potential rebound.
The Relative Strength Index was at 47.03, which is in an overall bearish zone, but still not in extreme bearish territory.
Meanwhile, the MACD line touched negative 0.0016, surpassing the signal line which touched negative 0.0022.

There is a positive 0.0006 histogram, indicating that the long-term bearish momentum is starting to fade despite the broader bearish market structure
To maintain $0.99 may ensure consolidation and allow one more shot at breaking above $1 in Wednesday’s headline-fueled trading.
If XRP price can break above $1.03, the momentum could be further boosted before it pushes towards the higher $1.05 resistance level.
A close above $1.05 will break the bearish chart pattern and will help to establish a better picture for a more significant short-term rally.
On the other hand, a $0.99 decline can push the token back into the downtrend and bring it into the hands of the support level at $0.97.
