US Seizes Funds Linked to Hamas

The U.S. Department of Justice seized more than $560,000 in cryptocurrency intended for Hamas, and disrupted websites and communication systems allegedly used for fundraising and recruitment. The United States designates Hamas a foreign terrorist organization.

Investigators traced and seized the funds through three warrants issued during 2025, federal prosecutors said. The money was allegedly intended to support the Al Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing.

The FBI also seized internet domains and servers connected to the group's main website. Authorities said this allowed investigators to intercept cryptocurrency donations intended for Hamas.
