Where are Crypto Whales Buying Next After Bitcoin’s Rally

Bitcoin’s price rally is reshaping the crypto capital rotation trade, with whale activity showing where large holders are positioning beyond BTC. While Bitcoin remains the core institutional asset, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Hyperliquid are attracting fresh attention as traders seek stronger relative performance and higher-beta opportunities. The latest market data shows a split in positioning: whales continue buying Bitcoin on weakness while selective capital moves into altcoins with stronger momentum and clearer catalysts.

Ethereum Attracts Heavy Whale Positioning

Ethereum is emerging as the leading large-cap alternative for fresh crypto risk exposure. A whale recently opened an approximately $44.85 million ETH perpetual long using 25x leverage, while another large position remains valued at roughly $107 million. Such positioning places ETH at the center of the current rotation, particularly as traders look for an asset with substantial liquidity and higher upside beta than Bitcoin.

Ethereum is also showing stronger buy-side activity in tracked market flows. The combination of large-wallet positioning, derivatives exposure and improving relative performance makes ETH one of the clearest assets to monitor as Bitcoin consolidates. The rising leverage also creates a near-term risk: if ETH fails to sustain its momentum, highly leveraged positions could amplify downside volatility.
