Best Crypto to Buy in August 2026 Search Heats Up as Pepeto Fires Toward Binance Listing

The search for the best crypto to buy in August 2026 just got louder. Goldman Sachs completed its $2.25 billion acquisition of NEOS Investments this month, adding $1 billion in Bitcoin ETF products to its portfolio and expanding institutional crypto exposure at a pace that would have been unthinkable two years ago.

While the largest banks pile deeper into digital assets, the smartest entries this cycle are not sitting on the shelves those banks are buying from, and one presale is attracting wallets faster than any headline can keep up with.

Goldman Sachs Adds $1 Billion in Bitcoin ETF Products Through NEOS Acquisition

Goldman Sachs closed its $2.25 billion acquisition of NEOS Investments this month, adding roughly $1 billion in Bitcoin ETF linked income products to the firm's asset management portfolio according to CoinMarketCap data published August 12. The deal expands Goldman's crypto adjacent offerings at a time when spot BTC ETFs recorded back to back outflows totaling $187 million across two sessions.

Indirect Bitcoin exposure among major funds grew 60.5% year over year through the first half of 2026, with Strategy alone accounting for 9,914 BTC through a 1.17% equity position. The deal also includes 67,340 ETH held through a stake in BitMine. Institutional capital is not leaving crypto. It is repositioning into the assets it believes will define the next twelve months.
