Explore the top companies holding Bitcoin and Ethereum, their average entry prices, and who is in profit after August's rally.

Both assets just closed their strongest month of the year, pushing BTC near $80K and ETH toward $2,500. With prices moving this fast, it's a good moment to look at the top Bitcoin and Ethereum holding companies and map their average entry point against where the market trades now. Below are the biggest corporate holders that publicly disclose their cost basis, and what they actually paid per coin.

The five largest disclosed corporate Bitcoin holders bought in across a wide range, and at around $80K most are now in profit. Strategy and Coinbase sit just above their average cost, while early buyers SpaceX and Block are well in the green. Only Metaplanet, the most aggressive top-buyer, is still underwater. What each paid per coin:

On the ETH side, the gap is tighter. With Ethereum near $2,475, only Coinbase has moved back above its entry. The rest, including BitMine, the single largest ETH holder, are still below their average cost, though August's rally closed most of the distance. What they paid per coin:

The Takeaway

Even with sentiment firmly back in "greed" after the rally, the charts show how far some of these bets still have to run. Metaplanet's Bitcoin and BitMine's Ether remain well above today's prices – a reminder that buying near the top is slow to unwind, and that even in a rising market the most aggressive corporate treasuries are still waiting to break even.
