bitcoin has a new topic of discussion: Risk Dimensions believes that the price of the first cryptocurrency could reach $180,000 if US authorities increase the purchase of long-term treasury bonds and banks get more room to buy government debt.

Why the Bitcoin Forecast Became More Bullish

The main scenario from Risk Dimensions is linked to actions by the US Treasury. If the agency increases the volume of buybacks for long-term treasury securities, this could support demand for risk assets, including Bitcoin.

The second condition is a possible easing of the supplementary leverage ratio (SLR) requirement. Softer requirements would allow banks to more actively purchase US government debt. For the digital asset market, such a move could be an additional bullish signal.

For investors, bitcoin remains not just a speculative instrument, but the largest digital asset by market capitalization. Simply put, it is digital money without a single bank or operator: users transfer it directly to each other, and the network itself checks that the same coin is not spent twice. The idea of Bitcoin goes back to Satoshi Nakamoto.
