Bitcoin.com News Names Andrew Hayward Managing Editor

Bitcoin.com News has hired veteran cryptocurrency journalist Andrew Hayward as managing editor, adding an experienced digital media editor to its newsroom.

Hayward most recently served as managing editor of Decrypt, the cryptocurrency and Web3 news publication where he held several editorial and operational roles. He previously served as Decrypt’s culture editor and hub operations lead.

His move to Bitcoin.com News continues a career that has increasingly focused on cryptocurrency and digital assets. Hayward began contributing to Decrypt in 2019 while working as a freelance journalist.

Before and alongside his work in crypto media, Hayward built a 15-year freelance career with bylines in publications including Rolling Stone, Vice, Playboy and Polygon. His work has spanned technology, entertainment, culture and gaming.

Hayward has also worked on film and book projects.

The appointment brings Bitcoin.com News an editor with experience managing cryptocurrency coverage as well as a broader background across digital publishing and culture journalism.

Hayward is a graduate of Lewis University.
