August closed with buyers back at the table.
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recovered from Friday’s $202 million withdrawal, while ether’s uninterrupted run stretched deeper into a third week. The final trading session of the month also left bitcoin ETF assets within touching distance of $100 billion.
Bitcoin ETFs attracted $216.70 million, led by a $205.91 million inflow into Blackrock’s IBIT. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust added $9.24 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC received $6.88 million. Bitwise’s BITB and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT brought in $4.29 million and $3.62 million, respectively.
Vaneck’s HODL recorded the only outflow at $13.41 million. Daily trading value reached $2.36 billion, while combined net assets closed at $99.61 billion.
The session capped a strong August for bitcoin funds. Spot ETFs attracted about $3.52 billion during the month, their strongest monthly buying since October 2025. Bitcoin itself recorded its first positive August since 2021 after gaining roughly 25% during the month.
Ether ETFs extended their inflow streak to 11 sessions with an $87.68 million addition. Blackrock’s ETHA led with $59.94 million, while Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust added $13.50 million.
