Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) recently climbed 42% over the past three months, reaching $84,883 as of September 27, 2026. This strong rally has shifted some expectations for 2027. Investors who remained steadfast during a challenging first half of the year are once again looking at potential six-figure prices, prompting us to consider how this upward movement will influence predictions for next year.

Bitcoin’s 42% Rally Has Won Back Only Part of Its Losses

Bitcoin ended June at $58,524 and rose to $63,694 in July, continuing its ascent to reach $87,397 on September 21—its highest price since January. However, despite this recent growth, Bitcoin is still down 3.7% for 2026 and has lost 23% over the past year. It currently trades at about 48% less than its peak of $126,000 recorded in October 2025.

Additionally, the pace of buyer interest has slowed. While Bitcoin rose 32% over two months, the increase was just 8% in the latest month. As such, Bitcoin enters 2027 having only recaptured a portion of its earlier losses.
