Resistance Test at $83,000 Fuels Uncertainty
Currently, Bitcoin is priced at $78,002, with a daily trading volume of approximately $45.10 billion and a market capitalization of $1.57 trillion. The coin has managed a modest 0.61% gain in the past 24 hours.
On August 30, Crypto Patel, a well-followed cryptocurrency analyst, emphasized that Bitcoin recently bounced back from the high timeframe resistance area of $81,000 to $83,000. This range has acted as a major supply zone in recent trading sessions.
Patel noted that the most recent daily candlestick closed with a sharp downward move after facing rejection near $83,000. Bulls have not been able to establish a strong position above this level, maintaining the bearish market scenario while $83,000 remains unbroken.
In Patel’s assessment, “A bullish reversal could only become convincing if Bitcoin rises past $83,000, while a breakdown below support might open the way for a move down to the $50,000-$55,000 zone.”
This supply area continues to be a significant battleground between buyers and sellers. A successful challenge of upper resistance could give buyers renewed momentum, but failure to hold support may lead to further downside for the cryptocurrency.
