and stakes between 70% and 95% of its holdings on the Ethereum network. Investors
82% of staking rewards through monthly distributions. The remaining 18% is divided among the trust, custodians, and staking service providers.
The fund charges a 0.25% sponsor fee. BlackRock has temporarily reduced that fee to 0.12% on the first $2.5 billion in assets for the first year. The discount is intended to help the product build traction early on.
ETHB joins BlackRock's existing crypto lineup, which includes the iShares Bitcoin Trust ($IBIT) and the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA). IBIT currently manages more than $55 billion in assets. ETHA holds approximately $6.5 billion.
Coinbase is the fund's primary custodian and staking
. Per an SEC amendment filed March 9, Coinbase will receive 10% of staking rewards as a base fee. That fee drops to 6% if the fund reaches $20 billion in assets under management. Anchorage Digital is also named as a custodian.
