According to PeckShield, Coinsbuy suffered a hot wallet breach and lost over $7.9 million: about $7,900,000 was withdrawn from the service’s addresses, nearly $8,000,000. Coinsbuy operates as a crypto payment service and payment gateway: it helps process crypto payments, conduct digital asset transactions, and handle deposits and withdrawals.

The funds were withdrawn from hot wallets through two networks: Ethereum and Tron.

In blockchain analytics logic, such an incident looks like classic theft: the hacker gains access to assets and then quickly distributes them in different directions to complicate tracking. In this case, both Coin and Asset involved in the service’s operations were moved.

Where the Stolen Assets Went

After the withdrawal, the attacker began splitting the crypto assets and moving them through exchange services. According to asset movement data, several directions were involved:
