Second National Crypto Survey Finds More Brazilians Have Invested in Crypto Than in the Stock Market

The second Brazilian National Crypto Survey offered insight into the state of cryptocurrency in Brazil, spearheaded by the popularity of stablecoins as dollar proxies for cross-border transactions and payments.

The survey, which was conducted by Paradigma, a Brazilian research firm, and Datafolha, one of Brazil’s largest market research institutions, and sponsored by Coinbase and Hashdex, polled 2,004 users from May 11 to May 14 in 137 municipalities at fixed poll stations, with a 95% confidence level and an error margin of 2%.

The poll found that two-thirds of Brazilians already know about cryptocurrency, with bitcoin and ethereum being the most recognized digital assets, and Drex, the national central bank digital currency (CBDC) project, reaching third.

This represents a 10% rise from 2025 levels, indicating the growth that the crypto industry has experienced during that period.

Nonetheless, digital assets surpass fixed-income bank certificates (15.1%), foreign currency (14%), gold (9.8%), and even stocks (6.4%).
