Crypto-adjacent equities had their strongest week in years as Bitcoin's climb toward $80,000 pulled treasury companies, exchanges and miners higher in tandem, though not every stock in the group moved the same way.

Strategy (MSTR), the Bitcoin treasury company formerly known as MicroStrategy, gained 29% for the week, its best run in years. Coinbase (COIN) rose 25%, Circle Internet Group (CRCL) climbed 22%, Marathon (MARA) added 21%, and Robinhood (HOOD) gained 13% over the same stretch.

The moves tracked Bitcoin's advance from the low $60,000s earlier in August to a high above $81,000 this week. Spot Bitcoin ETFs extended their run to a seventh consecutive day of net inflows on August 24, pulling in more than $2.5 billion over that stretch and lifting combined fund assets to $98.6 billion from $78.7 billion a week earlier, according to Sosovalue dat.

How much each stock moved reflects how directly it's tied to Bitcoin's price rather than to trading activity or diversified revenue. Strategy holds roughly 843,775 Bitcoin against a market capitalization near $42 billion, with a beta to the broader market above 3.5, so its equity moves nearly in lockstep with the token.

Marathon, which holds a far smaller Bitcoin position and has been diversifying into AI and data-center infrastructure, moved less on a per-day basis despite its strong weekly total. Coinbase earns fees on trading volume rather than marking a treasury to market, so Bitcoin reaches its business through activity and volatility rather than balance-sheet appreciation.
