Finam Cryptocurrencies: Group Prepares to Enter the Market as Broker and Crypto Exchange

Finam views cryptocurrencies as one of its new areas of development: the financial group plans to enter the Russian digital asset market and operate there in two roles at once—as a broker and a crypto exchange.

The plans were shared by the president and chairman of the group, Vladislav Kochetkov. According to him, Finam intends to join the emerging Russian cryptocurrency market and expects to take a prominent place in it.

We plan to join the Russian cryptocurrency market and want to be among the leading players. The strategy is divided into two parts: decisions that have already been made and issues that are still being worked out. We will definitely be a broker and a crypto exchange.

Currently, this is just preparation for launch, not an already operating crypto service for clients. Finam has identified two starting roles—broker and crypto exchange; the specific trading platforms, the set of supported coins, and the client scenario for opening an account will depend on the final launch model.

For Finam, this means going beyond the familiar infrastructure of the stock market. While stocks, securities, currencies, derivatives, and quotes have long been familiar to investors through the Moscow Exchange and brokerage apps, cryptocurrency requires a separate operational model. In this field, along with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple, not only investments are important, but also diversification, hedging, and reliable transaction organization.
