Quantum computing’s moment is fast approaching. In many ways, it’s already here. The timeline for scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computers is shortening. Fujitsu already has a road map for fault-tolerant quantum computers and is pioneering quantum-inspired computing to deliver huge gains in performance today.

These performance gains could help advance the global quantum computing community, including   Singapore as it accelerates its National Quantum Strategy, as well as APAC more broadly, where industries ranging from financial services to manufacturing are already reaping the rewards of commercially available offerings.

Demand is surging

Global demand for greater computational power continues to increase across the globe. As datasets grow, operations become more complex and the need for real-time decision-making surges, organizations are increasingly having difficulty making immediate decisions with the limitations of conventional machines.

Singapore recognized these challenges early on, along with  the potentially enormous sovereign, strategic and commercial benefits that could come with making the city-state a global quantum computing hub. Singapore’s burgeoning national strategy focuses on driving scientific excellence, partnerships, engineering capabilities and talent retention.
