Nobody posts about their payment method. You’ll see a thousand clips of a clutch round before you see one person say how they moved the money in. Yet the preference is there in the behaviour, and it’s not subtle. Put a three-day bank wait next to a withdrawal that lands in minutes, in front of someone used to a game loading in four seconds, and the choice makes itself.

The secret part isn’t that gamers use Bitcoin. It’s that they’d rather not explain why.

The wait is the whole argument

Speed decides this, and it’s not close. One crypto casino guide lays the gap out plainly (source: win.gg/crypto-casinos/): traditional casino withdrawals “often taking 3-5 business days”, crypto sites where “withdrawals are often processed instantly”.

A standard bank transfer in the US runs through the ACH network, which the Federal Reserve’s FedACH service clears in fixed windows on business days. Look at the FedACH schedule the Fed publishes and you’ll find three same-day settlement slots, the earliest at 1:00 p.m. ET for anything submitted before 10:30 a.m. Miss that and it rolls forward. Send on a Friday night and it moves on Monday. Send before a public holiday and it moves after the holiday.
