Beginning Sept. 8, Robinhood will begin routing a selection of football event contracts to Crypto.com’s prediction markets platform through its CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse
Through the first 8 months of the year, prediction markets at Robinhood are seeing record revenues and volumes. In Q2 alone, there were 13.6 billion event contracts traded on Robinhood, and during the World Cup alone more than 5 billion contracts traded. In June, we also started routing contracts to Rothera, a CFTC-licensed exchange and clearinghouse independently managed through Robinhood's joint venture with Susquehanna International Group, to bring even greater diversity to our marketplace.
Today, we're building on that momentum as we team up with Crypto.com to begin routing a selection of event contracts to its CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse in time for the start of the Pro Football season. The CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse does business in the Crypto.com App under the brand Crypto.com | Derivatives North America (CDNA) and also a separate trader-focused App under the brand OG.com. We’ll start routing a selection of football contracts to OG.com beginning on Sept. 8.
