Spot Ether ETFs Took In About $697 Million Last Week, Alongside Bitcoin:

HedgeCo.Net — U.S. spot ether ETFs pulled in about $697 million last week while bitcoin funds took in $1.92 billion, a companion tape rather than a copy of the bitcoin print. CryptoBriefing put ether’s week at roughly $693 million to $697 million for the period ending August 22. EdgeX, writing from the Friday close, put Friday ether inflows at $184.93 million and the five-day ether total at $697.18 million, with BlackRock’s ETHA about 82% of that Friday ether figure. That is an ether week wrap. It is not the August 20 session print this desk already ran.

The two asset-class weeks moved together and still have to be marked separately. Bitcoin’s $1.92 billion week is the larger object. Ether’s ~$697 million is the smaller one. EdgeX said every bitcoin and ether ETF that reported a Friday flow finished without a redemption. CoinBoss’s Farside table, used on the bitcoin wrap, is a bitcoin product list; do not read a bitcoin AUM of about $96 billion as ether AUM.

Concentration is the same pattern as bitcoin, in a different wrapper. EdgeX put ETHA at roughly 82% of Friday’s ether intake. That is issuer concentration inside ether products, not a statement that IBIT’s bitcoin creations are ether creations. Do not add ETHA’s Friday line to IBIT’s Friday line and call it a single crypto-ETF flow.
