Stripe Adds Samsung Pay Integration to Crypto Onramp SDK

Stripe said it added a feature to its onramp SDK that integrates Samsung Pay with its cryptocurrency purchase service.
The update means users can now use Samsung Pay as a payment method when buying cryptocurrency with fiat currency in React Native-based Android apps.
Stripe said its Crypto Onramp lets users buy cryptocurrency with fiat currency without leaving an app or website, and supports Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH.

Stripe has added a feature to its software development kit, or SDK, allowing Samsung Pay to be integrated with its cryptocurrency purchase service.

Digital Asset reported on September 21 that Stripe added Samsung Pay functionality for Crypto Onramp on Android in version 0.75.0 of stripe-react-native.

Stripe React Native is an SDK that allows developers to add Stripe payment functions to mobile apps. The update includes Samsung Pay setup, availability checks, payment method collection and sample integration features.

As a result, developers of React Native-based Android apps can now integrate Samsung Pay as a payment method when users buy cryptocurrency with fiat currency within the app.

Crypto Onramp is a service that enables users to buy cryptocurrency with fiat currency without leaving an app or website. Stripe currently supports credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH as payment methods.
