Visser told The Journeyman podcast that as AI accelerates economic growth and disrupts traditional businesses, investors need assets that no one can replicate or inflate away.
Bitcoin fills that role in the digital economy the same way gold once did in the physical one, and he views it as directly tied to the pace of AI disruption rather than separate from it.
His long-term framework is straightforward: the digital asset world reaches at least $100 trillion, Bitcoin holds at least 33% of that market, and the math does the rest. He has never sold a single Bitcoin and has no intention of starting.
Ethereum Could Outperform as Tokenization Accelerates
Visser added that while Bitcoin remains his highest conviction long-term hold, he expects Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) to outperform Bitcoin over the next year specifically because of the tokenization and stablecoin boom.
He views Ethereum as a commodity tied to blockchain compute demand, with trust built over years making it the natural choice for banks and financial institutions entering the space.
