Bitcoin scarcity on Binance has fallen to a record low as the amount of bitcoin available on the exchange rises, according to CryptoQuant. The finding points to a larger supply of the cryptocurrency being held or made available on Binance relative to the measure tracked by the analytics firm.
Binance is one of the largest cryptocurrency trading platforms, and changes in bitcoin held on major exchanges are closely watched by market participants. Exchange supply can matter because bitcoin deposited on a trading venue may be more readily available for buying, selling or other trading activity than coins held elsewhere.
CryptoQuant’s observation does not by itself establish why the available supply is increasing or how traders will act on it. Bitcoin market conditions can be influenced by a range of factors, including investor positioning, broader liquidity, demand for the asset and movement of coins between exchanges and private wallets. The reported record-low scarcity reading highlights a shift in Binance’s available bitcoin supply rather than a conclusion about future price direction.
