BitFuFu Reports Stable September Bitcoin Output, Flags Rising Risk in Ethiopia Mining Deal

BitFuFu ( (FUFU) ) has provided an update.

In September 2026, BitFuFu reported steady daily Bitcoin output of 5.6 BTC and total production of 167 BTC, down slightly from August, while self-mining rose to 98 BTC and Bitcoin holdings increased to 1,388 BTC. Total hashrate under management slipped to 19.4 EH/s and power capacity to 324 MW, but fleet efficiency stayed flat, underscoring stable operations despite minor volume declines.

The company also disclosed rising risks around its proposed acquisition of an 80 MW Bitcoin mining facility in Ethiopia, originally agreed in October 2024 but still subject to unmet closing conditions. A contractual dispute between the target company and its power supplier has triggered potential enforcement against collateralized assets, prompting BitFuFu to weigh options including terminating the deal, pursuing arbitration and recovering paid funds and deployed machines, while stressing the exposure is small and the impact on overall production is expected to be limited.
