Der 21Shares XRP ETF verlor in den ersten sechs Monaten des Jahres 2026 mehr als die Hälfte seines Vermögens, da fallende XRP-Preise mit massiven Rücknahmen zusammenfielen, die Verluste in Höhe von $13.36 Millionen realisierten.

TOXR beendete den Juni mit einem Nettovermögen von $112.9 Millionen, was einem Rückgang von 54.4% gegenüber $247.7 Millionen Ende Dezember entspricht, wie sein Quartalsbericht vom 11. Aug. zeigte. XRP fiel im gleichen Zeitraum um 42.9% auf $1.0431, während die ausstehenden Anteile des Fonds um 20% von 13.89 Millionen auf 11.11 Millionen sanken.

Der Unterschied zeigt, wie die Abhebungen der Anleger den Schaden durch den Preisverfall von XRP verstärkten.

TOXR verzeichnete im Halbjahr Rücknahme-Ausschüttungen in Höhe von $75 Millionen gegenüber $25.5 Millionen, die durch Neuausgaben eingebracht wurden, was den Fonds mit negativen Nettokapitaltransaktionen in Höhe von $49.5 Millionen zurückließ. Er gab 1.47 Millionen Anteile aus, während 4.25 Millionen zurückgenommen wurden.

Diese Rücknahmen zwangen auch dazu, einen Teil der XRP-Bestände des Fonds mit Verlust zu realisieren. TOXR verzeichnete Verluste in Höhe von $13.36 Millionen auf XRP, die für Rücknahmen veräußert wurden, während weitere $71.52 Millionen an Wertminderungen auf Token, die er weiterhin hielt, unrealisiert blieben.

Erholung im 2. Quartal führte nicht zu nachhaltiger Nachfrage

Der Rücknahmedruck des Fonds ließ im zweiten Quartal deutlich nach, aber die nachfolgenden Zuflüsse deuten darauf hin, dass sich die Verbesserung nicht zu einer breiteren Erholung entwickelte.

Laut dem Bericht entfielen auf das erste Quartal 4.03 Millionen der 4.25 Millionen Anteile, die während des Halbjahres zurückgenommen wurden, sowie $11.68 Millionen des realisierten Rücknahmeverlusts von $13.36 Millionen.

Zwischen April und Juni gab TOXR stattdessen 480,000 Anteile aus und nahm 220,000 zurück, was zu einer Nettoausgabe von 260,000 Anteilen führte. Selbst mit diesem Anstieg fiel der NAV des Fonds im Quartal um 20.56%, während XRP um 22.37% sank.

Diese Stabilisierung blieb jedoch fragil, obwohl XRP-gebundene Fonds unter den aktuellen Marktbedingungen eine starke Performance zeigen.

CryptoSlate berichtete zuvor, dass XRP-Fonds derzeit eine viermonatige Zuflusssträhne verzeichnen, die rund $300 Millionen angezogen hat.

In diesem Zeitraum hat TOXR schwach abgeschnitten und weniger als fünf Tage mit Zuflüssen im Wert von etwa $6 Millionen verzeichnet, während sein kumulierter Nettozufluss seit der Auflegung auf rund -$20 Millionen gefallen ist. Bemerkenswert ist, dass der Fonds der einzige US-Spot-XRP-ETF mit negativen kumulierten Zuflüssen ist.

Gleichzeitig lag die Anzahl der Anteile am 11. Aug. bei 11.12 Millionen, nur 10,000 über dem Stand vom Juni.

In der Zwischenzeit meldete 21Shares ein Vermögen von $109.58 Millionen, was unter den zum Quartalsende verzeichneten $112.9 Millionen liegt, wodurch der Fonds selbst nach der kurzen Verbesserung bei den Neuausgaben im zweiten Quartal kleiner wurde.
