Binance Research fand heraus, dass Investoren der Generation Z börsengehandelte Fonds bevorzugen und seltener handeln als ältere Generationen.

Cointelegraph berichtete am 14. August, dass Binance Research einen Bericht veröffentlicht hat, der Plattform-Handelsdaten für die Generation Z, Millennials, die Generation X und Babyboomer über Direktaktien, tokenisierte Aktien und Perpetual Futures der traditionellen Finanzwelt vergleicht.

Bis Anfang August machten ETFs 25% des gesamten Aktienhandelsvolumens der Generation Z aus, so der Bericht. Die Nettozuflüsse in ETFs stiegen im Juli auf 21.9% von 18.5% im Juni, während der Anteil der Einzelaktien im gleichen Zeitraum von 77% auf 74.2% sank.

Die Generation Z war zudem weniger aktiv als andere Generationen. Die Gruppe kam auf durchschnittlich 13 Perpetual-Futures-Trades der traditionellen Finanzwelt pro Monat, weniger als die 17 bei Millennials und 16.5 bei der Generation X.

Der Anteil der Konten, die noch nie einen Verkaufsauftrag erteilt hatten, variierte ebenfalls nach Generation. Unter den Direktaktienkonten der Generation Z hatten 22% keine Verkaufshistorie, verglichen mit 19% bei der Generation X und 9% bei den Babyboomern. Millennials hatten mit 30% den höchsten Anteil an reinen Kaufkonten. Die Top-Assets nach kumulativen Käufen in den reinen Kaufkonten der Generation Z waren Broadcom, Tesla und der Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF.

Die Generation Z zeigte auch weniger Interesse an gehebelten und inversen ETFs. Unter den Perpetual-Futures-Konten der traditionellen Finanzwelt der Generation Z hatten 88.2% keine Historie im Handel mit diesen Produkten, verglichen mit 84.5% bei Millennials und 85.9% bei der Generation X.

Binance erklärte, dass sein Direktaktien-Service erst im Juni begann, eine nennenswerte Größe zu erreichen, wodurch das Datenfenster zu kurz sei, um Schlussfolgerungen über langfristige Trends zu ziehen.
