Forecast Trend Report by Period

Crypto asset manager Bitwise has launched a service for non-US investors that automatically builds and rebalances portfolios of tokenized US stocks.

Bitwise introduced Automated Token Portfolios, or ATP, for eligible non-US investors, The Block reported on August 25. ATP is a rules-based model portfolio designed by Bitwise Investment Managers, using Coinbase’s tokenized stocks and operating through on-chain investing platform Glider.

The initial offerings are built around themes including the Magnificent Seven plus SpaceX, robotics and leading artificial intelligence companies. Investors can hold tokenized stocks directly in their own wallets while automatically tracking and rebalancing portfolios designed by Bitwise. The methodology fee is 0.15%, with trading and platform fees charged separately.

Unlike traditional funds, investors do not need to hand their assets to an asset manager. The tokenized stocks remain in non-custodial wallets and are not transferred to a pooled fund. Bitwise said investors willing to take the related risks can also lend those holdings through decentralized finance protocols or use them as collateral.

“Historically, using professional investment models meant placing assets into a fund, but with ATP investors can keep those assets in their own wallets,” Matt Hougan, Bitwise’s chief investment officer, said. He added that the service can deliver thematic investment opportunities faster and with greater precision than traditional investment structures.

Bitwise has expanded its on-chain investment products this year. In January, it partnered with Morpho to introduce a non-custodial on-chain vault product. In February, it launched seven crypto model portfolios for financial advisers, and later widened access to individual investors.
