The Central Bank of Latvia has granted Atrya Technologies SIA a licence to provide crypto-asset services. It allows the company to safeguard and administer crypto-assets on behalf of clients, as well as exchange one crypto-asset for another.

Operations in the European Union

The licence was issued in accordance with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). Through the cross-border notification mechanism, Atrya Technologies SIA will be able to provide these services throughout the EU, LSM English reports.

Company owners

According to the enterprise register, Atrya Technologies was established in March this year. Its board includes German citizen Lorian Korrai and Lithuanian citizen Rytis Simkus. The Latvian company is owned by Germany-registered Capelend Technologies GmbH, whose main owner is also Lorian Korrai.

Since the introduction of a unified EU legal framework for the crypto-asset sector, 12 companies have already received authorisation from the Bank of Latvia to provide such services. The European Securities and Markets Authority also maintains a pan-European list of crypto-asset service providers.
