La IA supera al Bitcoin en rentabilidad de infraestructura informática.
La fundadora de Crucible, Meltem Demirors, afirmó que si bien Bitcoin sentó las bases para el actual auge de la infraestructura de IA, el producto principal de la informática se ha convertido en la “inteligencia” en lugar de la criptomoneda. Según ella, billones de dólares en capital se están dirigiendo ahora hacia la IA.
Citó como ejemplos a CoreWeave, que comenzó con la minería de Ethereum, y a Crusoe, que minaba Bitcoin utilizando gas de combustión. Demirors describió el cambio de los mineros hacia la IA y la computación de alto rendimiento como un riesgo real para la seguridad de Bitcoin, pero señaló que el mecanismo de ajuste de dificultad permite a la red adaptarse a la salida de potencia de cómputo.
