Bitcoin (BTC) spot ETFs posted $390 million in weekly net outflows, while several smaller altcoin funds attracted fresh capital.

Key Points:

  • Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded $390 million in net outflows last week, with Fidelity’s FBTC and BlackRock’s IBIT leading redemptions.
  • Solana, XRP and HYPE ETFs posted inflows, while Ethereum funds ended the week slightly negative.
  • The split suggests uneven crypto ETF demand rather than a broad return to risk.

Bitcoin ETF Outflows

Data from SoSoValue showed Bitcoin ETFs lost $390 million over the week, reversing a recently revived inflow streak as Bitcoin struggled below $65,000. Fidelity’s FBTC recorded $153.1 million in outflows, while BlackRock’s IBIT followed with $129.1 million.

Morgan Stanley’s MSBT also weakened, posting $7.1 million in weekly outflows after previously maintaining inflows during periods when the broader Bitcoin ETF group was losing assets. Bitcoin fell from about $64,000 to $63,256.11 over the same period, remaining below the $65,000 resistance level cited in the report. Institutional exposure did not move in one direction.

Tudor Investment, owned by Paul Tudor Jones, increased its IBIT holdings by 19% in the second quarter to 688,529 shares worth about $23 million, while cutting reported IBIT call options by 85%.

Solana ETF Demand

Spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs recorded $2.26 million in net weekly outflows, including $16.39 million from BlackRock’s ETHA, while Grayscale’s ETH fund drew $15.1 million. Ethereum also slipped from about $1,900 to $1,893.39 during the week.

Smaller products moved differently, as XRP (XRP) ETFs took in $2.25 million, Hyperliquid (HYPE) ETFs added $2.74 million and Solana (SOL) led with $10.26 million.

The only smaller altcoin product cited with an outflow was Dogecoin (DOGE), which lost $564,840. The divergence came as the crypto market’s Fear and Greed Index remained in the “Fear” zone at 31, limiting evidence for a broad market recovery.

The latest reversal follows several weeks in which Bitcoin ETF inflows had started to recover after earlier periods of weakness. MSBT had also stood out for persistent inflows during broader redemptions, making its latest $7.1 million outflow another sign that the recent recovery in fund demand has lost momentum.
