Goldman buys NEOS
Goldman Sachs agreed to acquire NEOS Investments in a cash-and-equity deal valued at up to $2.25 billion, a move that would bring NEOS’s options-based income ETF business into Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
“valued at up to $2.25 billion”
The acquisition is expected to close during the first quarter of 2027, pending regulatory approval, and Goldman said the transaction is subject to performance targets and service commitments.

NEOS is described as the firm behind BTCI, a $1.1 billion bitcoin synthetic exchange-traded fund (ETF) that yields roughly 27%, and the deal would fold NEOS’s roughly $30 billion in options-based income ETFs into Goldman’s platform.
As of June 30, 2026, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Innovator from Goldman Sachs Asset Management and NEOS manage more than $130 billion in ETF assets under supervision (AUS), according to Goldman’s statement and Bloomberg-cited figures.
