Circle, Qube Research & Technologies (QRT), Ripple y SC Ventures de Standard Chartered han invertido en el exchange de criptomonedas OKX con una valoración previa a la inversión de $25 mil millones. El acuerdo amplía una ronda liderada por el propietario del NYSE, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), en marzo. No se reveló la cantidad recaudada.
Cada inversor ya tiene una relación comercial con OKX. Circle emite la stablecoin USDC, QRT es una importante contraparte comercial y Standard Chartered mantiene las garantías de los clientes en custodia. Ripple es el recién llegado, con su stablecoin RLUSD listada en abril.
Star Xu, fundador y CEO de OKX, dijo que la ronda proporciona capital “para seguir creciendo y tokenizar activos del mundo real”. El exchange ya ha ido más allá de las criptomonedas. En mayo, ICE acordó licenciar sus índices de referencia de petróleo Brent y índices de referencia de petróleo WTI para los futuros perpetuos de OKX.
