Forecast Trend Report by Period

Institutional demand for Ethereum is running far above new daily issuance, outpacing Bitcoin, according to Jamie Coutts, chief crypto analyst at Real Vision.
In a post on X on Aug. 10, Coutts wrote that institutional demand for Ethereum is about 2.8 times its daily new issuance.
Institutional demand for Bitcoin, by contrast, is about 23% below daily issuance. Most recent institutional inflows have come through exchange-traded funds, while buying by companies that hold cryptocurrencies as treasury assets has been relatively subdued.
ETF flows are not, by themselves, a leading indicator for prices, Coutts wrote, but the demand channel is improving. On that measure, Ethereum is clearly outperforming Bitcoin.
