Blockchain.com says it plans to go public by year's end at a $6 billion U.S. valuation.

The British cryptocurrency financial services company is looking to raise about $500 million U.S. from an American initial public offering (IPO).

The London, England-based company, which offers exchange, wallet, trading and lending services, has filed confidentially for an IPO with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Blockchain.com is one of the highest profile crypto firms to go public this year following a slew of prominent listings in 2025, such as stablecoin issuer Circle (NYSE: $CRCL) and crypto exchange Gemini (NASDAQ: $GEMI).

This year has been notable for the number of crypto companies that have delayed their planned IPOs due to a depressed market for digital assets.

So far in 2026, Kraken, ConsenSys, and Grayscale have each put off their IPO plans, citing market uncertainty.

However, with Bitcoin rallying 40% off its 52-week low in this year's third quarter and its price near $85,000 U.S., some crypto firms are now reviving their plans to go public by year's end.

RedotPay just announced that it plans to tap public markets after previously putting its IPO plans on hold.

Blockchain.com is privately held and its stock does not yet trade on a public exchange. The company is expected to list its shares on the Nasdaq (NASDAQ: $NDAQ) exchange in the U.S.
