BitFuFu FUFU reported on Tuesday that its September Bitcoin BTCUSD production reached 167 BTC, down 4% from August, as lower cloud mining output offset gains in self-mining.

Self-mining production rose to 98 BTC from 88 BTC, while cloud mining output fell to 69 BTC from 86 BTC. Daily production remained at 5.6 BTC.

Bitcoin holdings increased to 1.39K BTC from 1.37K BTC. The total hash rate fell to 19.4 EH/s from 20.6 EH/s, and power capacity declined to 324 MW from 344 MW.

Moreover, the company warned that an electricity-payment dispute involving its proposed Ethiopian mining acquisition target could prevent the deal from closing.

The company has paid $4.1M to the sellers and deployed mining machines with a net book value of $1.74M.

CEO Leo Lu said BitFuFu expects limited further impact on Bitcoin production and is evaluating options to protect its investment, including possible termination of the agreement and recovery of assets.

On the market side, the stock traded ~3% lower at ~$1.30 in the after-hours.
