Grayscale’s AI Crypto Sector Gained 54% in September

Grayscale’s AI Crypto Sector rose 54% in September, more than twice the broader crypto market’s gain, though it remained the smallest of the firm’s six Crypto Sectors by market value.

The category was valued at about $15 billion, compared with an approximately 24% increase across the broader crypto market. The figures show a sharp monthly advance for the sector while its overall market value remained comparatively small.

NEAR posted the largest gain among the highlighted tokens, rising about 183% during September. Bittensor (TAO) gained about 37%, World (WLD) rose about 47% and Venice (VVV) increased about 70%.

Grayscale’s view is that public blockchains can offer AI agents open infrastructure for payments, identity, private computing and verifiable records. The firm sees the possibility of one or more major winners emerging in the sector over the next five years.
