Gu Jingci: August 30 Bitcoin/Ethereum Early Morning Trading Strategy and Market Analysis

For Bitcoin/Ethereum, I previously reminded multiple times about taking short positions and adding to shorts after price rallies. The market has since moved down from the highs to around 76,800 and 2,405. Currently, there has been some rebound, but as weekends tend to see sideways volatility, I planned to short again after a larger rebound. However, the rebound was weaker than expected. On the 4-hour chart, after a significant drop with high volume, only a slight rebound occurred, and the momentum was insufficient. The candlestick bodies are relatively small, with trading volume shrinking. On the daily chart, there is a large bearish candlestick with a long lower shadow and heavy volume, suggesting some support below but still strong selling pressure.

From a technical perspective, the DIF and DEA lines are both operating below the zero axis, indicating a bearish short-term trend. However, the DIF line is starting to turn upwards, and the negative MACD histogram values are converging, which shows bearish momentum is weakening and there may be a need for a short-term rebound. Regarding the MA moving averages, there is pressure at 2,470-2,480 for the daily and 4-hour charts, and at 78,500-79,000 as well. The MAs are turning downward, so watch for potential resistance and pullbacks at those levels.

Late-night trading suggestion: Short Bitcoin near 78,200–78,600, with a target around 76,500; short Ethereum near 2,460–2,480, with a target around 2,360–2,400.
