Ripple CLO Urges Senators to Hear From Crypto Holders Before CLARITY Act Vote

Stuart Alderoty, Ripple's chief legal officer, urged U.S. senators to hear directly from cryptocurrency holders ahead of a vote on the CLARITY Act.

On Sept. 8, Alderoty wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he had personally asked the offices of senators who oppose the CLARITY Act or remain undecided to meet with actual crypto holders.

He said lawmakers should hear from ordinary people who own digital assets and have their own stories, not lobbyists or industry executives. There are about 67 million crypto holders in the U.S., he added.

Alderoty said those people should have a chance to be heard because they will be affected by the vote.
